Interactive Pose-tracking Climbing System - IICW
Feb 2025
An advanced climbing wall platform integrating LED-guided routes, force sensors, motion capture, and projection mapping for real-time data analysis and interactive feedback.
The Integrated Interactive Climbing Wall (IICW) is an advanced training and research platform that enhances climbing through real-time data analysis, interactive feedback, and immersive technology.
IICW integrates LED-guided climbing routes, force sensors, motion capture, and projection mapping, providing dynamic feedback to climbers. A central server processes data from microcontrollers, an MQTT-based communication bus, and a Unity client, enabling wireless connectivity and real-time visualization via WebRTC. The system supports Bluetooth-controlled LED holds, force-sensitive feedback loops, and video-based motion tracking, offering climbers and researchers valuable insights into movement and technique.
With gamification elements and interactive features, IICW transforms traditional climbing into a data-driven and engaging experience, ideal for training, research, and performance enhancement.
